What verification means

Every published listing goes through Mountain Hub review. Verification confirms that the organization is real, active, connected to Cameroon, and managed by someone authorized. It is not a commercial endorsement.

Startups

  • Verifiable presence: website, public product, or operating evidence.
  • Cameroon connection: founded, headquartered, or substantially operating in Cameroon.
  • At least one identifiable founder or principal.
  • Claimed by someone in a leadership or operational role.
  • Reasonable sector, stage, and funding claims where applicable.

Hubs

  • Workspace, recurring programming, or evidence of activity.
  • Documented programming in the last twelve months.
  • Identifiable and reachable leadership.
  • Claimed network memberships verifiable with the parent network.

Investors

  • Investment or recognized activity in Cameroon, Central Africa, or the region.
  • Public presence: website, recognized partnership, or documented portfolio.
  • Accurate investor type, geographic focus, and stage focus.
  • Sensitive financial data published only when confirmed and chosen by the investor.

Programs and competitions

  • Verified host organization or recognized partner.
  • Application details, deadlines, and eligibility match public communications.
  • Funding and terms accurately stated.
  • Freshness badge when status has not been recently confirmed.

Universities and institutions

  • Officially recognized institution.
  • Innovation-relevant programs, departments, or labs accurately described.
  • Claimed by a designated representative, always through Mountain Hub manual review.

Portrait listings

  • Explicit consent from the person listed.
  • Identity matches a verifiable public profile.
  • Current role matches a verified organization or public source.
  • No private contact information is published.

Timeline and re-verification

We aim to review submissions within five working days. Domain-email claims can be instant; LinkedIn and manual claims typically take one to three working days. Material changes trigger a short re-review.
